Fiona Shazam - Oil Painting Pet Portrait

I love cats. Always have, always will. Ever since I was a little kiddo, I've wanted a floofy cat, and with Fiona Shazam, I finally have a floofurnutter in my life. And oh - the cat hair. It's everywhere, all the time. But boy is she cute! I wanted to try my hand at painting cats, as I've been drawing them for as long as I can remember, and I decided to work from this photo I took of Fiona last year with our Canon Rebel that had great lighting. This painting only took a few sessions to do, as I was trying to work quickly and not overthink it too much. But if the painting looks unfinished and you can't quite figure out why - I recently did: I forgot to paint on her whiskers! I plan on going back in and finishing those, but I've been swamped with other projects and haven't gotten back to it yet. Soon, though!
