A Little Video Levity
The world is bonkers right now. Being in lockdown, Bryan and I have each been working on our own writing and art projects, but somehow we also found ourselves dabbling with making some silly videos to brighten people's day a bit during this COVID-19 nightmarescape. Painting Projects During COVID-19 Lockdown
Face Masks, drying in the "fresh" Los Angeles air. During this strange several months of pandemic madness, I've been hunkered down in my apartment with my husband and our two cats, trying to stay healthy. Pet Portrait Commission - Lily
My aunt Ellie, who you might remember from such posts as "Westerly Bottles: A Saga" and "Pet Portrait - Wellington," commissioned me to paint a portrait of her daughter-in-law's dog, Lily. The challenge with painting Lily was that I had to use several photos to get the painting to look just right. The main photo I used was Lily at the beach, but she was all wet in the photo. Pet Portrait Commission - Wellington
My aunt Ellie, who you might remember from such posts as "Westerly Bottles: A Saga," commissioned me to paint a portrait of her dearly departed sweet dog, Wellington. (Wellie, for short.) I was so happy to paint this portrait for her! Wellie himself came together quite nicely, but boy were the steps and window shadows behind him tricky!
